Build On Your Lot Program
In several of our build areas, we offer the chance to build on your own lot. While we aim to develop in the most desirable locations, we understand that our existing communities may not provide the exact homesite you’re seeking. In these cases, we offer the option to build one of our award-winning plans on your lot. By partnering with CJL Homes, you'll have a trusted builder to bring your dream home to life.
Lot Requirements
While each area in our On Your Lot (OYL) program has specific guidelines, there are three general conditions to keep in mind:
The lot must be fully owned, with no existing mortgages or liens, meaning you hold the title outright and no other parties are listed.
The land must be clear of any structures or improvements and adhere to all local setback regulations, allowing us to prepare the site for construction.
To ensure we maintain efficiency and provide the same level of attention as we do with our community builds, the lot's location will be considered at the builder’s discretion
What is needed to be eligible for the On your Lot Program?
A. Buyers need to own a suitable lot free and clear of any mortgages or equitable liens. The lot must be transferred to the seller by General Warranty Deed before construction can commence.
B. We require just $1,000 deposit at contract and use your lot as a non-refundable deposit. We pay for the construction so you don’t need financing until closing.
